Our mission has always been centered around promoting innovation and driving data-centric solutions, and this collaboration is a testament to our commitment to supporting a diverse, sustainable ecosystem for open source data and AI technologies.
What is the Linux Foundation Data & AI Foundation?
The Linux Foundation Data & AI is an umbrella organization within the Linux Foundation that fosters and supports an ecosystem of open source projects in the realms of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and data. Their mission is to reduce innovation silos, promote collaboration and harmonization, and provide support to vital open-source projects. Why did CloudGeometry join the LF Data & AI Foundation?
At CloudGeometry, we believe in the power of community-driven development. The Linux Foundation has consistently demonstrated its commitment to fostering an inclusive, community-driven approach to software development. It’s why we recently join the LF’s child organization, the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) as a Certified Kubernetes Service Provider (CKSP). By joining the LF Data & AI initiative, we hope to:
Collaborate with other industry leaders to shape the future of open-source data and AI technologies. We have already begun meeting with these leaders in the context of the Generative AI (GenAI) Commons.
Contribute our expertise and insights to drive innovation in the AI and data domains. For example, our Sr. Director of Product Management and AI will be heading up the GenAI Data Workstream, and we’ll be looking for opportunities to contribute to some of the many Foundation projects.
Benefit from the vast resources, best practices, and insight that LF Data & AI offers to its members, bringing the best of those insights back to our customers and applying them to our own innovations.
